only 2 more sleeps

until school resumes. These 7 weeks have gone so slow. I will miss them eventually once they start again but I can assure you that the first week is going to be glorious.

We have been so super busy of late, Friday night saw us entertaining a very old friend of Stuarts, his fiancee and their children Jack and Adam. Little Jack is only 3 days older than Emma and we were in the same hospital when we had them. We had an awesome time and it was so great to catch up with them. I think it has been about 6 years since I last saw Peter and the boys. Life gets so busy that time seems to slip by so quickly.

On Saturday night we celebrated our eldest daughters (Mishae) 22nd which meant dinner out with family and friends. I cannot believe that she has turned 22, certainly makes me feel like an old bag (hehehe)

Sunday was Stuart's turn to enjoy which involved a car rally with almost 80 Mazda MX-5's. The trip was approximately 400km's and Emma went with also to keep him company. They had a fantastic time but not many photos were taken grr. While they were gone my girlfriend Janzey popped in for the afternoon. She was down from Darwin for the weekend and before they left for the airport to return they came over. Even though we rarely see each other there is still this incredible connection between us. I love her to bits and can tell her anything and mean anything and she would never once think of judging you. True friend is what I call that.

Anyway seeing as I really have nothing to share then I will sign off and go start organising our supper.

Oh and before I go I would just like to say the biggest THANK YOU ever to Rainie from Kaisercraft. Unfortunately today Rainie was made redundant and the digital creative team are going to miss her immensely. Rainie is an amazing woman and I truly believe that she is going to have herself another job by the end of the week. Good luck Rainie.

Kaisercraft

Went to the Grand opening of the Kaisercraft store today and boy was it busy. It was great to see so many people there and I ran into heaps of old scrapping buddies. The good thing about the opening was that if you spent $20 you got a show bag which was filled with loads of goodies even some acrylic stamps. Talk about generous......

The children and I went out to Burleigh Hill/Beach yesterday afternoon to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. We had the best time and the company and view were brilliant. I reckon that Burleigh Beach would have to be the best beach on the Gold Coast. The children spent about 4 hours just sitting there playing in the water and around the rocks - collecting, building and chatting. They were certainly tired when we got home and crashed pretty much straight away. I would love to share photos of the afternoon but as usual I forgot to take my camera grrrr

We had to drop Stuart at the airport early this morning as he was heading down to Newcastle for a meeting and also to catch up with his family. He is only gone for one night so that won't be so bad.

Emma and I managed to do some scrapping this afternoon. She did a little 6 x 6 page and I did the one below. Not 100% sure about this one but will let you see it anyway.

Well I am out of here now. Am going to have a nice bubble bath, put the children to bed and then I am going to read in peace and quite.

Until next time, take care and stay safe

New Year

Well I have just spent enough to feed a small country on new school uniforms. Seeing as they are bot starting a new school I had to but everything from scratch right down to the hair ribbons that Emma has to wear....... I must say though that they both look very smart. I will get some photos once I can convince them to put them on again LOL. They have just had 6 weeks of wearing flip flops, boardies and t shirts so the thought of having to wear shoes and clothes again is frustrating them a tad LOL.

I cannot believe that these holidays have gone by so quick. It is going to be so very quite when they head off in a week and a half. I am taking them for the first three days but then they will be catching the bus. I will follow it for the first day or two just to make sure they are ok.

Anyway I had wanted to share a layout with you all but Scrapbook Creations took it straight away so sorry but I have nothing to share today. I really feel the urge to scrap so I think I will have to do some. Maybe a boy one for a change.

Stuart and I went to a funeral yesterday which was very sad. Our friends father passed away after a short battle with cancer. Such a nasty disease. I found it very difficult as it was held in the same place that we had dads funeral - was a bit tough but I got through it ok.

Well I hope this finds you all happy, healthy and enjoying yourselves. Until next time take care and stay safe

I WON

I was incredibly lucky to win a $25.00 shopping voucher at this awesome store. They have just the cutest little note pads, pencil sharpeners, diaries, tape and the list goes on and on and on. It didn't take me long to figure out what I was going to spend the voucher on. Go check it out, I am sure that you will fall in love with it all just like I did. Click on the image above to be taken to the KYOTO General Store.

Kaisercraft have released some awesome digital kits lately. The one below is "Candy Store" and is chock full of bright playful papers, elements and extras. I loved creating this layout as I really wanted to scrap these photos. Could never really find the right papers and embellishments, until Kaiser brought out this kit.

Mum and I stayed in Brisbane last night as she had to go to the airport early this morning. We had a lovely time strolling around Southbank, taking in some dinner and then hitting the markets. I hated leaving her at the airport this morning though. I really wished that she did not live so very far away. I know it is only a few hours on a plane but I just want her here.

Ok so this is only a short post and I will leave you with some photos.

Take care and stay safe
